There are several sections that have him going back and forth between shouting and whispering, and the audio levels aren't normalized so you have to turn up the volume to hear what he's saying one second then get your eardrums blown out the next.
The narrator is fine for most of these books, however is extremely unpleasant for specific voices, most of which involve shouting. The gripe I have is with the narrator and the production. I'm not going to dispute them because everyone knows what they're getting into when they read these books.
